Donna Karan was a lousy fashion student

cfda07-donnagabbykaran.jpg When you're a student, it seems that school is what makes and breaks you for your future career/s, but Donna Karen has proven that you don't have to be top of your class to make it.

She revealed on Dr. Mehmet Oz's XM Radio show yesterday that back when she was a fashion student at Parsons, she had serious doubts she'd ever make it.

"I loved fashion. But I wasn't a very good student," she said. "Failed typing, failed draping, you know. I had a little ADD problem. Sewing? Oh, forget it. I burnt my dress. They told me I would never make it as a fashion designer at all."
