The first thing that comes to mind when I think of September is London Fashion Week one of the biggest events on our calendar, the mere thought of it makes me want to take a nap! As well as the big name catwalk shows at the National History Museum we packed in the Topshop Unique shows, the OnlOff schedule shows and Fashion East. The V&A's Golden Age of Couture exhibition coincided with LFW and the star-studded gala show was the event of the season.

Another month, another lot of celebs showing off their credit card wardrobes and disposable incomes. Let's start with Nicole Ritchie's misdemeanors, and her whole 82 minutes of jail time, despite looking rather fetching in a white shirt and headband combo. Beth Ditto becomes a strange fashion icon, befriending la Moss and flashing her knickers at any opportunity. We got to see this lovely strip off on stage, and declare to the world that she is a Primark fan (well who doesn't love their Primarni?)

So another year gone by, ands we take a look back at some of the *ahem* most exciting moments of the year. They include Victoria Beckham in that Roland Mouret dress, oh and leaving British shores for LA for like, all of five minutes, The lovely Fergie signing up with shoe retailer Candies for some promo video work, Coleen McLoughlin releasing a scent and some heavily photo shopped piccies and Christina Aguilera proudly displaying her humps, her humps, her lovely baby bump for the world to see.

June opened with a busy week for the Shiny Fashion team as we provided full coverage of Graduate Fashion Week sponsored by River Island. London is the only city in the world to host such a prestigious event for it's young, upcoming designers. It's a great opportunity for us as well as them as we get to pinpoint the who's going to be the next big thing. There was a lot of good competition this year and a host of celebrity judges including Victoria Beckham and Albert Elbaz.

The fifth month of the year was actually my first full month of work at Shiny Towers and what a month to join! The main fashion event that happened was, of course, the first Kate Moss for Topshop collection which launched on the 3rd May 2007.
The supermodel launched her collaboration with the High Street store on Oxford Street and was even on hand for the party. The Shiny Fashion team were so dedicated to bringing you all the latest news and gossip from the launch that we queued for a staggering 6 hours! CQ editor Kim wrote shortly afterwards, "I felt myself go through the gamut of emotions from embarrassment to boredom to excitement to anxiety."

In March, Naomi Campbell served out her sentence for hitting her house cleaner with a mobile phone and boy did she do it in style? The rumours flew that the supermodel was paid to wear expensive labels while waltzing passed photographers en route to her community service post. Regardless, the model still had us gagging for a pair of Christian Louboutin boots she wore on the way to sweeping floors at a New York garage... yes, really!

To celebrate the end of 2007, CQ has put together our 'Year in Fashion', a rundown of the big events in the fashion calendar throughout the year. Getting the ball rolling, I took a look back at January and February.
A very fashionable year got off to a great start as hit US television show Ugly Betty made its way across the pond and quickly found a place in the hearts of fashionistas across the UK. Camp, silly and completely over the top, we wish life working in fashion really was like life at Mode magazine. Along with America Ferrera’s lovable geek (whose outfits we secretly love) we also have secretary chic from Amanda, quirky glam from Christina and sheer drama from Wilhelmina. Plus, we all want boys like Marc and Justin in our offices…
