Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2008 show, New York

Oscar de la Renta previewed his pre-fall 2008 collection on Monday night in New York. Audiences were treated to a colourful display of what lies ahead for next year's cooler months. And the word is that floral is only going to get bigger! In circle skirts, long coats and full length dresses, bold floral prints were all over the catwalk. The designer also previewed his upcoming range of tweed skirt suits, slouch trousers, cashmere sweaters, suede boots and red carpet ball gowns. Onlookers included Vogue's Anna Wintour, Candy Pratts Price and Amy Astley. “We start delivering this merchandise in May, so people can buy this right away!” said De la Renta after the show.
