Students Kevin Geddes, Gillian Suzanne Lawtie and Felicia Theodorou have been announced as finalists in the My-wardrobe.com Designer Incubator competition. The initiative hopes to find the next big talent in fashion as selected by a panel of industry experts including the Telegraph's Hilary Alexander, Louise Redknapp and design duo Gharani Strok.
Each of the finalists have been awarded £1,000 each to create a prototype of their garment which will be showcased before the panel culminating in a catwalk show on January 30th, 2008. The winner's collection will then be picked up by My-wardrobe.com for production and sold exclusively alongside some of the world's leading designer labels including Dolce and Gabbana, Paul Smith and See by Chloe.
"I am so exited, if not a little scared, to be part of this competition in its first year. It is such a great opportunity to showcase my work on a professional level,” said finalist Kevin Geddes.
