Louis Vuitton and Alberto Giacometti’s holiday silk scarves
There’s a limited edition Louis Vuitton scarf to add to your Christmas wish lists ladies. Louis Vuitton are giving their holiday silk scarves a vintage spring by using a print by Swiss surrealist artist Alberto Giacometti.
Known as a sculptor, painted, draftsman and print maker, this print (pictured) was originally commissioned by the Maeght Gallery in 1960 but was never used. The scarves will be in Louis Vuitton flagship stores “shortly”, as the LVMH-sponsored exhibition of the Giacometti’s work is showing at the Pompidou center in Paris. The print sort of looks like the LV logo – with the diamond and the red-almost-clover. Okay... I might be clutching at straws.
