The last few seasons of Max Mara advertising has me thinking I’m not their target market – I just don’t relate to the image they want to portray through their advertising campaigns. And their spring 2008 campaign is no different. Featuring British model Lily Donaldson, the young model sports a full head of curls, wearing power suits with a beige trench coat slung around her tiny frame in two different ways. Don’t even start me on the bag and the clunky shoes, which are probably very hip, but very 1990s. At least the photography by Craig McDean and make up is interesting.
