Julien MacDonald's plans for luxury brand
Julien Macdonald (pictured left at the V&A's Golden Age of Couture gala) has teamed up with financial backer Jamey Hrgreaves with plans of expanding his designer business and starting a British luxury label. Jamey Hargreaves is Matalan's former head of menswear and director of marketing and is now taking the role of chairman at Julien Macdonald.
I'm expecting a flurry of ad campaigns and I'm definitely expecting them to be star-studded as he usually has half a dozen 'slebs in attendance at his catwalk shows. I'm also seeing through the mists of my fashion crystal ball a whole lot of glitz glam and colour, Julien Macdonald may be a respected part of the British design establishment but understated he ain't!
