Helmut Lang has been long known for creating minimialist designs both on and off the catwalk and his new works resemble that fusion of art and fashion. Since removing himself from the fashion world three years ago, the Austrian-born designer has been focussed on more artistic endeavours including his latest exhibition "Next Ever After" which opens today at the journal magazine's gallery in New York. The installation (pictured above, right) features a single object - a found disco ball. “The mirrored ball is a good object to work with because it has all these different reflections and at the same time it absorbs everything that is surrounding it. That angle of it was inspiring,” he told the journal.
