Emma Hill (and not Katie Grand) to replace Stuart Vevers at Mulberry
Mulberry have appointed Emma Hill as creative director of Mulberry, replacing Stuart Vevers. The UK-born designer has taken up the post after Katie Grand, editor of Pop magazine, who originally accepted the position, shocked everyone with her early resignation.
"I've always loved Mulberry and look forward lending my skills to build on the brand's exciting recent achievements and secure its position in the international marketplace," Hill told WWD.
She has previously worked on accessories lines for Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Chloé and Gap. Her new role sees her return to London to oversee all creative aspects of the company beginning with the spring/summer 2009 collection.
