Eleven years after his death, Ossie Clark’s iconic designs are to be recreated. On Friday it was announced that the label would be relaunched under the direction of Marc Worth, founder of WGSN (Worth Global Style Network).

There isn’t much information currently available on the re-launch which follows the current trend for resurrecting vintage labels including Halston and Biba. Clark was a key designer in the late sixties and early seventies when, working with his then wife Celia Birtwell, created beautiful dresses. The dresses were designed to accentuate the female shape and are often used to define a fashion era. He was dubbed ‘the king of the King’s Road’.

Worth is rumoured to be calling on help from Avsh Alom Gur, among others, for the relaunch. More information is expected to be revealed over the next two weeks with the first collection being presented at London Fashion Week in February.
