Roberto Cavalli at H&M: The queues, the scrum, the madness!

Hardened fashionistas formed a long queue around the Oxford Circus branch of H&M waiting for the doors to open so they could get their mitts on some Cavalli clobber. Jodie Ann who'd been there since 5 am (!) told Laura she'd been waiting because she loved Cavalli: 'His clothes are sexy and stylish'. She was after the leopard maxi dress and the star of the collection, the gold sequin flapper-style dress. Queuing style mavens were treated to a breakfast goodie bag from H&M staff which included a croissant some orange juice and an all-important umbrella!

We stayed back from the initial scrum but when we got inside an in-house dj was pumping out some fast paced songs to get us in the mood. We heard Britney's latest single and Shiny Towers current fave 'Gimme More', along with Gossip and Hot Chip which all had the effect of making everyone a little bit more excited.

Clockwise from left: Shoppers stuff their goods into special Roberto Cavalli bags. An H&M employee braving the hordes to bring out more stock. Even the girls at the cash tills are clad in leopard! Witnessing the scrum for jeans, and lastly that gold dress.
