Miss Selfridge gold and black puffball dress

I came across this Miss Selfridge dress while giving a Photoshop tutorial at Shiny Towers and completely forgot about it until it appeared on the brilliant Kingdom of Style blog today. Isn't it gorgeous? Despite the girly pouffy shape the black straps and antiquey gold colour stop it looking too cutesy.

At £45 it's a great investment because it's cheaper than most fancy dresses and with a bit of imagination you can get far more wear out of it than your average party frock. Dress it up with ultra shiny opaques, heels and a chunky cuff or wear it with grey woolly tights and a belted cardigan for a cosier, more casual outfit.
