Congrats to Marios Schwab for winning this year's Swiss Textiles Award and a handy 100,000 euros!
The current British Designer of the Year took home the award at a fancy soiree in Zurich where fellow Brit designers Gareth Pugh and Ann-Sofie Back made up the six finalists.
According to FWD: "To be selected, a designer has to have presented a minimum four collections in a high-profile fashion international season, created significant international sales and been discussed in the specialist press."
Schwab's spring/summer '08 collection took our current obsession with body con to a new level. His recent success has seen his clothes go on sale in Browns, Harvey Nichols and Top Shop in London, Maria Luisa in Paris and Side by Side in Tokyo.
