Frock Horror of the Week: The Spice Girls Victoria's Secret red carpet appearance

Despite their entertaining Bugle Boy style appearance at this year's Victoria's Secret fashion show, earlier that evening the Spice Girls managed to muddle it all up on the red carpet. In an array of spangly showgirl outfits (with the exception of Mel C and Victoria) they seemed to clash with their surroundings. I suppose taking fashion tips from Britney Spears is always a bad sign! In a Marc Jacobs pink number, Posh Spice could have been mistaken for throwing on a bed sheet and belt... sigh, let's hope they redeem themselves in their Cavalli-designed tour outfits.

Sporty looks the best - the rest of them look like they're on a hen night - and what was Vic thinking? If she wants to be a fashion guru she will have to do better than that. It looks like she had two voices in her head when she was getting dressed 'wear full length and look classy' , 'no get it all out and show it, you've suffered enough for it!' - in the end she thought Oh crap I'll just do both? That's the only explanation I can think of?

Tacky, glitter and high hems shouldn't be an issue at the Victoria's Secret fashion show.

I think the fact that Victoria's dress was clearly inspired by the 4 year old me's take on dressing up only adds to their awesomeness - find random piece of material, throw over whatever else you are wearing, add Mums shoes = instant princess!
