Come and work with us! Shiny Fashion needs a fashion intern!

workwithus.jpgThink you could put up with this lot for a couple of days a week? We're a small team with a lot of work to get done every day, and right now we're desperately in need of a bit of help. We're looking for a fashion intern to help us out one or two days a week, hopefully on a long term basis. If you're a London-based fashion student with a bit of free time, or just someone with time to spare who loves fashion, you might be the right person for the job. As you can probably tell from our videos and blog posts, it's great fun being part of this team and we promise to treat you like one of the family!

As a Shiny Fashion intern, you'll be helping us get everything organised and efficient here at Shiny Towers. You'll be responsible for helping us with returns, calling in products, sending out competition prizes, compiling mailing lists and generally ruling the fashion cupboard. You might also be asked to help the tech, lifestyle and sport departments with the odd job. What's in it for you? A chance to see all the new stuff before everyone else, a great opportunity to build up a contacts book for the future, and the chance to work in one of the newest and most exciting areas of the media industry (that sounds nice and pretentious, doesn't it).

If you're willing to work hard, there may be writing jobs, trips to events and perhaps even a bit of video presenting on the cards down the line. We're a young, dedicated team and we'll need you to be like-minded if you're coming to work with us. The harder you work for (or with) us, the more we'll be able to offer you.

Think you're the right girl or guy for the job? We'll need you to be able to make your way to our central London offices for at least one day a week (two would be fab). As this is an intern position it's unpaid, but we will help out with travel costs and share the freebies. We'd love to book you in for as long as you can spare, but a month minimum to begin with would be great.

If you'd like to apply, drop me a line at gemma@shinymedia.com with your CV, some info about you and your interest in fashion, and your availability. We need someone asap, but we're booking people for 2008 too.

Are there any intern places available still available for this year?

Thankyou, Gemma! I knew you would be extremely busy reading all the applications! I'm not sure if my application will have reached you as my email is going through a little bit of a bad patch and has stopped sending a lot of my mail, but hopefully it will sort itself out soon enough. As it stands, it's a good thing that I haven't been selected for a spot before christmas as coursework deadlines are coming up, but if my application is successful and there are any 2008 spaces left then that would be fantastic. Thankyou so much for replying.

  • Cassie - we had quite a few applications which we're still trying to work through, fitting people in when we can. We're pretty much booked until Christmas now but there are plenty of spots in 2008 still.

Hello! I was just wondering if this position had been filled or if you were still looking for a fashion intern at Shiny Towers? Thanks.
