
UK fashion house Burberry have announced plans to sponsor the hottest exhibition of 2008 at The National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition of Vanity Fair portraits will open on February 14th 2008 and will include a selection of historic images from 1913 – 2008. This is actually the third time that Burberry have supported the iconic London gallery having previously sponsored David Hockney portraits in July 2006 and Mario Testino portraits in January 2002.
The exibition will include images from renowned fashion photographers such as Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, and Cecil Beaton. Creative Director of Burberry, Christopher Bailey commented, “It is a great privilege to be able to continue the Burberry history of supporting the arts. It is particularly exciting on this occasion to be working with the iconic magazine, Vanity Fair, and once again, with the renowned British institution that is the National Portrait Gallery.”
