Peacocks have apparently invested £1.5 million in an attempt to cash in on the blazer trend. Like the military jacket of a few seasons ago - which Primark had in all manner of shapes and sizes - this is a wearable look that's perfect for this time of year. The key is to go for a style that looks a bit too small, fastening only the top two (brass) buttons. Then add a tatty looking scarf, beige trousers and a white top or rock tee and you're done. Started almost singlehandedly by Balenciaga, the look is easy to pull off, surprisingly flattering and now dirt cheap. The original Ghesquiere-designed jacket costs upwards of £1000, but with Peacocks stacking the shelves with styles starting at £16 we can all emulate this now.
