Like many young women, I don't have a huge disposable budget to spend on one off events so I was keen to find a swish new dress for a smart reception in the city which I could use again. As it was an evening do, black was perfect but I made sure it had a little sparkle by picking out this fitted satin dress with a jewelled trim from Oli (or Grattan £65) which fell right on to the knee - perfect for my 5 feet 3" height. At £59 it didn't break the budget either and I'll certainly wear it again to a cocktail party or Christmas do.
For shoes, I wanted something fashionable and dressy so went for a pair of peep toes with a killer heel for £60 from Nine West at John Lewis but I can't find a picture of them anywhere so do use your imaginations or feel free to make suggestions!
