Occasionwear: the wedding guest #1

From our expert wedding blog, Bridalwave, we have a series of outfit picks for what to wear to a wedding. Here's our pick on how to dress for a day-to-night wedding...

Dressing for a day wedding that carries on to a night do is one of the hardest occasions you can dress for. You need to be comfortable yet stylish, not over the top but never under-dressed in a style that is subtly sexy and all this with shoes that don't leave you yearning to rip them off and stuff them in the bin by the time the night is over.

This creamy gold dress will look great during the day with its knee length skirt and vee neck, but the metallic gold belt makes it perfect for an evening reception. Matching shoes have a knotted vamp and a sturdy heel but if you're not a heels gal, go for a pair of ballet flats instead. A sequinned heart clutch bag is stylish yet fun and finish with glitzy earrings.

This is great, i have a wedding to go to in December but i have no idea what to wear. Most of the dresses out now are the prom style dresses which are not really suitable (and comfortable) to wear all day.
