Lily Allen and Kate Beckinsale in Chanel dress - who wore it better?

What's a Chanel dress between two A-List Brits? A ruddy great fashion war that's what! Lily Allen first wore her prom style number way back in September last year when she was fresh on the scene and still wearing Reeboks with frocks. Enter Kate Beckinsale last month in the same frock, albeit with some sheer black straps, at a recent Chanel event. You know the question here people - who rocked it better?

Personally, though I'm loving Kate's chic look, I prefer how Lily is keeping it young and playful with her hair down, winged eyeliner and some mega hoops, although I'm on the fence about that slightly neon tan.

Kate. I actually don't think Lily's hair looks good in that dress. Looks in the way. Plus I like the dress better with the straps than as a strapless.

Definitely think this is a Lily Allen dress. I'm a big fan of Kate Beckinsale, but prefer her sleeker moments. I think the dress with it's full skirt is great on Lily, but almost drowns Kate's perfectly petite frame. Do love the quiff with it though!

Lily looks awesome in that dress. Would have liked it better with her hair up a bit, but maybe that's asking a bit much?

Lily for sure...Caroline is right - for Kate's petite frame, the dress is a bit much. And Kate Beckinsale pulls off sleek and sexy more than this look. But this dress is perfect for Lily Allen's style.

Kate, but only because Lily's hair (not structured enough for that dress) and stance are weird. Plus I think this kind of dress doesn't need hoop earrings; they just distract.
Lily has way better shoes though.

None of them, but Lily looks worse, the hair it's just wrong, they look like they are going to perform some traditional dances.

Her shoes match the dress better than Kates which are a bit of a mish-mash.

Regardless of her hair, I think the cut of the dress suits Lily's figure better than it does Kate's. Lily's choice of shoes wins too.

As for the hoop earrings - that's just Lily's style innit.

Kate definitely! Shoes aren't supposed to be matchy-matchy and Lily's hair is not good at all. I get it, it's Lily's style and she could have rocked it, but she didn't.
