Lagerfeld designs most extravagant item in Harrods'

In the run up to the release of the Lagerfeld docu-film, Lagerfeld Confidential, he has been busy designing luxurious Christmas gifts for Harrods. His design is this peach coloured made-to-order guitar case for Dom Perignon featuring six bottles of rare Dom Perignon Rose Vintages and three Champagne glasses. It's made from softest perch skin and lined with lambskin (seems a little excessive to me). It even comes with a private Champagne tasting session with a member of the Dom Perignon winemaking team. It costs a staggering £70,000 and will be available from November 1st. Maybe the perfect accessory for a Christmas gift? If not, why not go to the Harrod's museum (as it may as well be) and have a look around the Luxury Room. [source]

  • Well $ 70,000 is how it goes when it’s Lagerfeld and Harrods that team up. It is a bit much but, for an Icon like Lagerfeld price should not be an option to his couture clients. It would be a slap in the face if it were not expensive.

Think about it the same people that by couture Chanel will probably by this. Even though I don't see couture and this item in the same category. But, whoever by this it is a representation of lifestyle, it is symbolic…I guess
