Just asking... Marc by Marc Jacobs or Miss Selfridge

Ohh this was an interesting designer inspired piece to stumble upon. Yesterday I talked about the blue version of the tiered dress with bow detail on the right to find that it also came in black – by Miss Selfridge for £65. Today, while surfing MatchesFashion’s collection of Marc by Marc Jacobs dresses and I found the dress on the right - a Marc by Marc Jacobs multi-tiered dress with bow detail on the front for £415.

While there are obvious differences - like where the tiers of ruffles start - but surely the similarities are a little too close for comfort. Which one would you buy/wear?

This is quite funny that I have stumbled across this but I bought this dress for a party where lots of people asked where my dress was from. It is much nicer than the Marc Jacobs one -which, yes, does look like a Christmas tree and would not flatter your figure at all! Doesnt have to be designer to look good!

I like the MJ one best, but only for petite ladies. I could really see Sarah Michelle Geller wearing this. Miss selfridge one has a unflattering neckline, and is that really two alernating types of material for the ruffles?? Why??

the miss selfridge one beacause I think that the ruffles being cut below the breasts means you wont be as swamped by it as you could be with the marc jacobs one I also think its more elegant!
