After the last issue of Vogue Hommes with Pete Doherty on the cover, it’s reassuring to see that Carine Roitfeld hasn’t lost the touch for creating covers that are stimulating visual and get you thinking with the Fall 2007 issue of Vogue Hommes International. How does James Franco get you thinking?
Well my first thought was "not another magazine claiming he’s the new James Dean". Just because he looks like the iconic actor (and portrayed him once an a TV biopic) it doesn’t mean he’s in the same league as Dean. Ah well. The edgy cover with Franco in a leather motorcycle jacket was photographed by Terry Richardson, and inside you will also find a editorial spread photographed by Kate Moss and modelled by Mario Sorrenti.
Talk about turning the tables around – I have yet to meet a photographer who actually likes getting their photo taken, so that would have been one interesting photo-shoot.
