
Natalie Portman is the antithesis of those Hollywood girls who party all night and land all the covers of trashy magazines. So it was no wonder that she was at Stanford the other day doing her duty as Ambassador of Hope for FINCA International, an organization that seeks to end global poverty through microfinance. And according to a review of her lecture on the Standford Daily website, she charmed and educated the audience. Not bad for a movie star / Harvard graduate. Dressed in a dress that I’m quite sure is a Marc by Marc Jacobs fall 2007 dress, she was the picture of demure but approachable friendliness.
