Ethical shopping gets stylish at Fashion Conscience

Hippyshopper has just reported on the opening of Fashion Conscience, a new high-fashion boutique with a conscience. As Abi rightly says, "if it weren't for the green bar across the top of the site, you'd be forgiven for assuming it was about as ethical as a fox fur coat." It's definitely the place to go if you want to shop ethically but are fed up of boring organic cotton, recycled sari silks and hippy-ish styles being the only things on offer for shoppers with a conscious. Fashion Conscience was created by Lianne Ludlow, former celebrity editor of Cosmopolitan, so there's a fashion pedigree behind the ethics, and the clothes on offer are stylish and unique. I love the organic parka from Wildlifeworks (£250) and the Nawar Tulip Skirt from Amana (£75).
