Costume Institute Gala to get the superhero treatment

77403395.jpgVogue UK reports that Giorgio Armani will chair next year's Costume Institute Gala at the New York MET museum, which will celebrate the influence of superheros on the history of fashion.

It will also open the museum's Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibition, which will feature costumes from movies and designers. Remember John Galliano's Wonder Woman couture collection for Christian Dior in 2001?

George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Anna Wintour will co-chair the event, due to take place next May, with another round of A-listers expected to hit the red carpet in super style. Can't wait!
