Preview: Roberto Cavalli for H&M campaign pics

Here it is... the first of the much discussed campaign images for the Roberto Cavalli for H&M collection. Shot by Terry Richardson, it was initially rumoured that the promo pictures would feature nude models - why when it's clothes that are the selling point, I have no clue. Models including Jessica Stam, Theodora Richards and Lydia Hearst are actually dressed in the designs and not naked.

As you can see there is loads of typical Cavalli leopard print and metallic going on as to be expected, but I must say I'm liking what I see so far. The gold dress (above, left) has already caught my interest. It bucks all current trends which say that baby doll and maxi are out, but I don't care, it's festive and would make the perfect Christmas party dress.

Cavalli unveiled his spring/summer '08 collection today at Milan Fashion Week and his Just Cavalli line on Monday (see pictures above). The range included African inspired prints from his travels, floaty kaftans and eye-catching swimwear in fuschia and black.
Roberto Cavalli for H&M hits stores 8th November.

I'm not a big RC fan but this collection looks very Roberto, so happy shopping!
I went to an NYC H&M for the Stella launch and was whacked with a hanger and pushed about, so I recommend wearing your most fierce outfit if you're braving the crowds to get a piece of this new collection :)
