Yesterday, New York-based designer Diane Von Furstenberg showed her latest collection in Bryant Park. The popular womenswear designer is to open her new London store during London Fashion Week. Her latest collection for spring/summer 2008 drew on a wide colour palette to create kaftans, voluminous strapless dresses, and t-shirt dresses.
The range used a lot of bright, African-inspired prints. There were a lot of thick, head scarves as seen on many L.A. starlets. She used minimal accessories including straw trilbys, sunglasses and the occasional tote.
Diane Von Furstenberg was followed down the catwalk by her creative director, upcoming British designer Nathan Jenden. DVF is wearing one of her own, new season designs.
