Forever21 copies iconic halter dress from Kate Moss by Topshop collection

Both of the little black halter dresses looks like Kate Moss from Top Shop, right? Wroooong! (Lex Luthor style!) Both dresses are halters with the iconic four-strap jail-bars down the upper chest, with a flaring skirt and a slight shimmer to the fabric. Of course, it is Forever 21's newest inventory that includes this little black number (they must think Kate Moss's collection has been out long enough, so that the water's now safe) and its a nearly identical copy of Kate Moss' version. But which one is which? The US$120 version is 40% Cotton, 38% Polyamide, 22% Cupro...while the US$80 Claire Taffeta Dress is 57% cotton, 40% nylon and 3% spandex. Those sorts of differences will be a little hard to tell through Catwalk Queen post, but be interesting in seeing which one of you readers can pick out the Topshop version from the Forever 21 copy. Any guesses? (Click on the jump for the answers!)

  • Jael

The Forever 21 dress looks like it fits better.

  • Katy

Serves her right - Kate Moss copied all of her stuff from elsewhere! She wouldn't dare sue Forever 21 for doing the same.

  • i wonder if anyone will try to pass off the forever 21 dress on ebay as the real thing
