CQ Live London: Wow Retro Part Two
Still on Drury Lane, we thought the accessories at Wow Retro deserved a post of their own, since there are so many amazing finds. If you like old shoes, funky worn-in boots and 80s clutches, this place will be your nirvana. The shop is a treasure trove of pretty accessories and quirky bits and bobs...
Belts, handbags and scarves are stacked haphazardly around the shop floor and tills, which is just how I’d expect a vintage store to display their stuff. We spotted faux Chanel quilted bags from the 80s, crochet and wicker numbers, vanity cases and lots of bright coloured waist-cinchers.
I find fishing through costume jewellery a bit of a chore when you can get vintage inspired stuff on the high street for silly money (or raid your mom’s old 80s jewellery box) but even I was drawn to the cabinet stocked with all kinds of sparkly things from times gone by.
The shoes are great too. As is always the way with vintage, some are in better condition than others and you’ll be luckiest if you happen to be a smaller size. Boots are stacked along shelves and on the floor, in all kinds of worn-in leathers that look really comfy. I was very temped to try a few pairs on, but had to resist!
