It rather pains me to write about this, so huge is my obsession with all things Sarah Jessica Parker-shaped, but it seems that even she isn't above taking 'inspiration' from the designs of others. Take a look at the two bags above - the one on the left is from SJP's 'Bitten' range, and is priced at US $9.98, and the rather similar one on the right is a tote from Anna Corinna (around US $400).
Don't panic though, Steve & Barry's have a simple explanation for it all. They've explained that the “prototype of a bag Sarah Jessica Parker and the Bitten design team never approved for production was inadvertently produced by Steve & Barry’s”. They also made it clear that when the mistake was discovered, the bag's production was immediately halted.
