galawinnersgoldaward.jpgAs the official Graduate Fashion Week bloggers we were over the moon to hear today's news that Selfridges will launch a pop up shop selling student designs in October. Twenty items have been selected for sale in the women's spirit and contemporary section of Selfridges. Even better yet is the news that students will actually receive the full retail price for any of their items sold.

"I look forward to see my work in one of my favourite shops and even more excitingly, knowing that someone might actually buy one of my outfits," said Jasper Chadprajong, joint winner of the River Island Gold Award. Perushka DeZoysa, Selfridges' buying manager told Vogue: "The idea of the pop-up shop is to give fashion students the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting and competitive retail environments in the UK, while offering our customers unique pieces from young British designers they will not have heard of - yet, at least." Definitely one event to put in the diary!
