We've taken on some new team members of late, and also gained plenty of new visitors. So to help you get to know the team, we'll be bringing you the all new 'Meet The Team' survey over the next couple of weeks. We'll start off with our Frock Horror / Yay or Nay queen Cupcate. As the least fashiony member of our team, she's the perfect person to spot a fug a mile off!

Shiny Job: Editor of Dollymix, writer for Shiny Shiny and Catwalk Queen

Background: Born and raised in Northern California where I ditched classes in high school, quit college, read a lot of books, and made people their lattes at Starbucks. Then I decided I wanted to pursue my writing career and write books, so I up and moved to London, got married, and am happily blogging my little heart out with Shiny Media and Vox!

How would you define your personal style?
I’m really just a jeans, T-shirt and Converse sorta girl. I feel like I tend to dress like a teenage boy, no matter how hard I try not to. ‘50s style dresses and free T-shirts are definitely two of my favourite things.

Where do you shop?
In the UK I’ve found that H&M is my favourite place to shop. I don’t like spending a lot of money on clothes, but also will only buy clothes that are comfortable and flattering, so, H&M is a good fit for me. In the US I love going to Target (my mecca), Old Navy, and BP.

Who are your favourite designers?
Does Target count as a designer? Oh wait! Pat Fielding designs sometimes! I like her!

Who are your style icons?
Those girls on the Tube who have cute glasses and real bodies that are just dressed so fabulously and I’m too shy to compliment them.

What are your pet fashion hates?
Not dressing for your body type. Leggings. Colored ankle boots. Skinny jeans on skinny little boys with the tops of their asses sticking out.

What five items of clothing / accessories couldn’t you live without?
A good bra, jeans, bobby pins, black eye liner, my converse.

What magazines / websites / newspapers do you read?
Diablo Cody’s Pussy Ranch, Feministing.com, Bust, The Metro

My Bouffant: Since I was 16 I’ve created a giant bun on the top of my head, which I call “My Bou”. I have really long hair so I just put my hair in a ponytail, don’t pull it all the way through, wrap the ends around and pouf it up. Then bobby pin my bangs up. It makes me feel taller.
