Madness and mayhem at the Paris Hilton for Kitson launch!
Once again Paris Hilton managed to bring L.A. to a halt yesterday as she turned up to the launch of her clothing line for Kitson. The former jailbird shut down roads in Beverly Hills and extra police had to be called in to manage the chaos. Paris arrived in a sequined gold dress (one of the pieces from her collection), suspicious orangey tan and did what she's most famous for - posed!
"It's a dream come true to have my own clothing line," she said. "It's just Paris style: fun, bright and flashy." Hmm... so then why does the word "tacky" spring to my mind when looking at her range?
Her collection, which includes dresses, blouses, t-shirts and jeans in lots of metallics, shine and sparkle, ranges between $30 to $130.
My verdict? Cringe-worthy. I can see the fun in it and I'm sure on the likes of Paris and her pals a few of these items would be right at home in a Lindsay Lohan-type Hollywood nightspot, but anywhere else it just wouldn't fit. However, I did hear that the heiress spent three hours in the store personally styling those happened to buy a voucher, finding them sizes and pausing for photos. You can't knock that!
