Inside store peek at Giles Deacon second 'Gold' collection for New Look
Mention Giles Deacon and New Look in the same sentence and you're bound to know where Gemma and I spent our lunch break today. Today was launch day for Giles's second 'Gold' range for the high-street retailer and the verdict? A bit hit and miss.
While we adored the shoes (high heels, block colours, embellishment) and satin blouses. We weren't terribly enthralled with the floral pieces and unfortunately as nice (and affordable) as the zebra print swimwear was, it may be a little late in the season to be releasing it now.
We snapped up a satin blouse, an embellished black top with detailed sleeves and a pair of the black 'chain' stilettos - these will all be featured in next week's Shiny Fashion TV, so make sure to stay tuned!
For the first time, Giles has released his own line of jeans for New Look and denim shorts. They are great value for money and are available in a variety of different colours/sizes but unfortunately they just don't seem to have that special Giles something that sets them apart from what is already around.
Nevertheless, at prices ranging from £5 to £50 there isn't a great deal to complain about here! Get down to New Look and check it out for yourself.

I got a couple of the tops, in black and khaki.
They're actually silk (not satin) and really good for the price.
