Welcome to Pet Fashion Week

I love animals, and I love to see proper respect shown by humans towards the other living things we share our space with. But there are lines that need to be drawn. There's Janice, for whom I have new appreciation for after seeing her bold advocacy for animal rights in line with PETA....and on the other end of the spectrum, there's pet fashion. The Barking Brunch kicked off Pet Fashion Week at the W Hotel in New York City today, but that is just one of many appearances of flamboyant pets and their equally flamboyant owners on the red carpet lately. Check out the guests wearing scarves at the Meow Mix Acatemy celebration, the cutie in blue with Ashley Trisdale (hint: not Zac), the doe-eyed beauty in fringed black (hint: not Eva Green.) All in all, though, I'm glad there is only one week out of fifty-two that is dedicated to pet fashion.
