Crocs to launch a "plastic-inspired" clothing line

crocsclothing.jpgNooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

That was my first reaction when I heard this latest news. As if Crocs weren't bad enough (before you ask, yes I'm a hater) the company behind the truly hideous coloured/holed clog are now planning a "plastic-inspired" clothing line. *Cringe*

Apparently someone thought it would be a marvelous idea to capitalise on this crazy phenomenon by launching a foam resin range of shirts, skirts and shorts. “We’ve been able to take the same material and spin it into yarn so it has all the properties of the shoes –light, durable and breathable,” said spokesperson for the company. Furthermore, Crocs is opening five outlets across the UK with a flagship store in Covent Garden.... Why???

They are very comfortable and i would not care to wear them almost anywhere if i have to walk a lot. You dont even sweat in them wich throws me off, but i agree, there should be some kind of "croc code" for when you wear them and when not. They are definitly the best for kids and for the water like canoeing etc. they dont fall of and if kids trash them, so what, they are not that expensive. So Croc on Croclovers!!

crocks are the ugliest shoes ever made and the most comfortable! I think those who dont like them have never worn them and have no clue about them. My personal worth is not defined by what i wear and I dont care if i am a fashion nightmare in someone elses book. Wearing Crocks is like walking on air! Sooooooooooo bring on the clothes and let the self proclaimed fashion patroll hiss with dismay!!!!!!!

aa! This sounds really funny I can't wait! You never know, it might work- it says "plastic inspired," not actual plastic, so they might come up with some simple, (very) brightly candy coloured pieces- basic tees or shift dresses. Might be cute with some huge plastic sunnies and a decorative oversized lolly-pop! We'll see! xx

Why would you want to wear plastic clothing? Seriously, the only appropriate place for these would be gardening (as Louise said) or maybe on some fishing trip much removed from civilization!

Now I might have nightmares for weeks.
