Simultané, the jewel in the crown of Brighton’s independent shops

Renowned in Brighton for its upmarket designs Simultané’s Sarah Arnett label is stocked worldwide including at Liberty. Innovative, flattering cuts and original prints are the mainstay of Simultané’s collection; Laura tried on a floaty tie-back dress (£420) that was figure-hugging in all the right places and in this season’s purple, the second dress she tried on (£430) was red-carpet material; floor length yellow satin, with a draping gather on the hip Laura looked a million dollars. A cute little detail they have is they keep a range of retro heels in the changing room so if you’ve come shopping in comfy flats you can get an idea of what the clothes will look like with high shoes. They also let us have a look round their Sarah Arnett bridal store upstairs. See after the jump for more images and a rundown of the day.

Brighton Lanes rundown

The independent shopping experience was far removed from your average hellish high street expedition. Super-friendly staff, one-off vintage finds and unique labels meant we had a truly individual shopping experience. As the high street raises its prices there’s never been a better time to head off the beaten track and if you’re looking for something a little different then the Lanes is the best place to go. There were so many more great places we wanted to visit but couldn’t fit into the feature so it’s definitely worth a trip!

This live shopping experience is brought to you by Sony using wifi technology on the Sony Vaio laptop.
