CQ Live Birmingham: New Look, Bullring Centre

There are two city centre New Look stores, but the one in the Bullring is definitely the one to head to. With two entrances, one on the Bullring’s lower level next to Debenhams and the other out the back facing the markets, this is a two level store with a huge selection of shoes and menswear downstairs, and womenswear upstairs. It’s also the place to go in Brum for limited edition ranges like 'Lily Loves...', 'Kelly Brook' and – when I visited – 'Gold by Giles Deacon'. The Birmingham stores also seem to be absolutely brilliant for sales.

I did find most of the items left on the rails to be big sizes, but I fell for a pretty green silk sundress for £10 that looked like it could be vintage. Unfortunately, the belt was missing off every size and it looked a bit too see-through to make it into my wardrobe.

Other great items included a jewel encrusted shoulder bag, loads of satin dresses and some lovely – and very well-priced – winter coats. In the footwear section I was taken by the heeled brogues. I’d never wear them but I know at least one CQ lady who would!
