Paris' loss is our gain, as the reason Wintour is sitting out the Paris Fashion Week shows is so that she can attend London Fashion Week. She is attending the memorial service for Isabella Blow on 18th September as well delivering a presentation to the British Society of Magazine Editors. "Unfortunately, she is not able to attend London, Milan, and Paris as well," said a Vogue spokesman. "She needs to return to New York for the magazine." There will of course be members of the Vogue team in attendance in paris and Wintour herself will make a quick pitstop before returning to New York.
London Fashion Week has gained prominence in the last couple of years thanks to designers like Christopher Kane, Gareth Pugh and Giles Deacon.
