The colours were bright, the prints were fun and the accessories were bright. I didn’t know what to expect of the Lycra swimwear summer 2008 collection in Miami, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The show kicked off with models of all shapes and colours modeling Lyrca’s basic swimsuits. There was a variety of one piece suits, to enhance an hour glass figure, to jazz up a real woman’s body shape, and cute little bandeau’s. The colours were fun because there was so many pretty prints in Hawaiian florals and abstract shapes.

As a brand for everyoner, Lycra had a great variety of cuts for the legs and waist length and height – low rise bikini bottoms, waist high bottoms, or something in between. Then the cut around the leg varied too, so if you whether you wanted the high cut swim suits, the boy legged bottoms or something in between, Lycra had it.

This is definitely one of my favourite swim wear shows so far at Miami Swim 2008. The variety was good, while the show was consistent and the accessories were perfectly fun and not distracting.

What do you think of the Lycra show?
