This is possibly the coolest thing that I've seen in a long time. The clever people at Canon have discovered a nifty way to not only help a worthy cause but to also help inspire Matthew Williamson's next collection.
The 'We Speak Image' fashion campaign has joined forces with Williamson as well as 16 other leading fashion designers across Europe to create a series of unique collections which will capture the essence of their respective countries. This inspiration will derive from images taken by members of the public, i.e. you!

Getting involved is simple, from May 16 to July 20, 2007 web users can upload their images and view others on Canon's website to create 'mood boards'. For every image uploaded Canon will then donate €0.50 to Red Cross Societies across Europe. You may vote on the best image and each week one lucky winner will receive a digital Canon IXUS 70 camera.
In August, the top 12 images as voted by the public will be given to a fashion designer who will then use that image to help inspire a capsule collection. These works will be shown in exhibitions across Europe from September including London Fashion Week! Helping a charity and contributing to fashion all at once, how brilliant is that?
