Desperately Seeking Susan, the film that helped make Madonna a star, is being turned into a West End musical which will hit the London stage in October. Upping the '80s factor, Blondie will provide the music for the production including songs such as "Heart of Glass," "Atomic," "One Way or Another" among others, as well as a new composition by front woman Debbie Harry.
Even though I was barely five when this 1985 cult hit first came out, I still remember how in awe I was of Madonna's radical fashion sense, from exposed lacy bras and bustiers to wearing boxer shorts as part of an outfit, all of it was her own wardrobe and defined the style of the time. More then 20 years on, bleached out hair and tapered trousers may not be as cool but you'll be surprised by how much you can work the look into your wardrobe with some pieces that won't scream 'I'm a Madonna-wanna-be'.
