Dior's 60th anniversary bash tonight

A once-in-a-lifetime event to honor 60 years of one of the world's leading fashion houses at the Palace of Versailles in Paris where a bevy of celebrities, dignitaries and supermodels will be present... why I'm not jealous at all! My invite may have been lost in the post (again) but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to seeing all the images of tonight's anniversary celebrations for Dior's 60th anniversary. Costing around £2 million to set-up, the event will definitely be one worth remembering as people from all around the world gather to pay tribute to John Galliano and his team and to mark the beginning of Paris couture week.

Today, The Daily Mail looked back on the long road which took the French label to the forefront of fashion in a design retrospect. It all began with a little known creative called Christian Dior who started his career by illustrating for fashion magazines and newspapers. He passed away well before his time, leaving a growing legend in his wake.
