Britain's Next Top Model: the launch show and episode 1

Yesterday afternoon at London's Spitalfields Market, the finalists of series three of Britain's Next Top Model took to the runway. The girls were dressed in a variety of edgy designs, many of which we recognised from Graduate Fashion Week shows, so kudos to the organisers for supporting new talent. The event was to celebrate the premiere of episode one of the new series, which was on Living TV last night at 9pm...
I'm going to stear clear of critiquing the show too much, except to say it's clear from the outset that this is going to be a reality TV show first and a modelling competition second. There's already been a massive fight, plenty of tears and a myserious injury. Tyra would be proud.
The girls are the usual mix of bitches (one actually has a 'queen bitch' tattoo), bimbos (or girls who know how useful it can be to act the bimbo) and squealers, and we've already witnessed one contestant who's unable to name a single fashion photographer and one who can't remember the name Diane Von Furstenberg. Oooh, it's going to be a fun series!
And now, for your viewing pleasure, here are the finalists. Strike Dani off your list, she's already out the door...
