Walk a day in Paris Hilton's shoes

parishiltonshoes.jpgOur resident Paris Hilton correspondent Laura, wrote yesterday about the heiress' upcoming appearance at Kitson to launch her first clothing line for the LA boutique. Well, it seems the former jailbird isn't stopping there with the news that she is also planning a line of high-end footwear. "My goal is to create a stylish and fun fashion line from head to toe," said Hilton in a statement from her footwear manufacturers, Antebi Group.

I'm actually rather interested to see what she produces, while she may not always hit the mark fashion-wise, her footwear usually does. Expect to see platforms, stilettos, wedges and other typical Hilton styles. The range will hit stores early next year along with a sports line.

Kate Middleton's style transformation post-William!

kkpics%2011%23.JPG
What a difference a day makes! Or in Kate Middleton's case, what a difference splitting up with the heir to the throne and going on a hardcore diet in order to row across the English Channel as part of the first female team to do so in a Chinese dragon boat, makes. The outfit on the right was worn by Kate during William's reign as Kate's boyfriend. Now that's been replaced with skinny jeans, lace dresses and sequinned shifts, as you can see by the picture on the left. Click on the link to see more pics of Kate's style changes!

What do you think of Kate Middleton's style?

Hayden Panettiere's ABS dress at the Los Angeles Kodak Theatre Ratatouille premiere

74869232hayden.jpg

I've heard nothing but rave reviews for the Pixar film, Ratatouille - that CGI movie about a gifted, gourmet rat with dreams of becoming a chef. I'd like to see it before it fades from the theatre, but for now, I'll have to make-do with the photos of the Kodak Theatre premiere. Hayden Panettiere (I'm getting used to spelling that name...about as tough on typing fingers as Ratatouille!) looks fantastic as usual. Her red carpet choice consisted of a draping, pleated ABS dress and thoroughly patent leather accessories - she added that big ole Fendi 'B' looking belt, a very interesting clutch (see The Bag Lady for more info on that!) and shiny mary janes. Pick up the dress for US$362.

Tour Tom Ford's London apartment

Wouldn’t it be nice to have homes in London, New York, Texas and more? Well Tom Ford has one in all those cities, and he showed CNN around his London home, as well as popping into his favourite art gallery, White Cube. Check out the video below – it’s amazing to see how streamlined and black & white the décor is. One could say it’s sleek and sexy?

What do you think of Tom Ford now that you’ve watched the clip? It sort of made me like him a little less - maybe.

Recreating celeb style has never been so easy!

kk%20shirt.bmpAfter writing about Keira Knightley's laid-back style, I was pleased to see that lots of you are fans of hers, too! Well, who wouldn't be, when she makes it so easy for us to take inspiration from her style choices. Pictured in London - yes, I know that it seems unlikely the sun would actually be shining in Britain, but it's true - earlier this month, she was working the white shirt trend in her own quirky way. If you fancy having a go, alll you need is a pair of black leggings (which I know you already own), an oversized white shirt - if it's the boyfriend's/husband's then all the better - and your favourite and slightly battered flat boots.

What do you think of this look? Is it relaxed chic or just a bit of a mess?

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Dress by LaROK

LaROK-gjwhf-dresstop.jpg Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ song was released in 1983 (on vinyl!), a year many of us can barely remember (if at all). But it didn’t stop generations of girls from singing along to the song. LaROK have released a mini dress named after that song, for all the girls who want to have a little fun. The embroidered girl design is utterly adorable, though it it’s a bit cutesy you can sharpen it up with a blazer or leather jacket. Same for the hemline, if it’s a little too sort for your liking, just add jeans or tights! Pick it up now from My-Wardrobe for £111.
