Summer to Fall Coats (I know its hot, just bear with me)

I'm in Cali, so I'm the last person who should be lusting after coats. But I totally adore the flare-skirt coats that're popping up everywhere (just in time for fall, doncha know.) I think a flare skirt coat looks so chic worn over a dress with the hem peeking out just a bit underneath; so all the summer dresses you're accumulating now would transition beautifully into autumn or cooler summer nights. I'm especially fond of the Diesel Akapulco Jacket in olive brown (far left, US$$228) for the pleated falls of the flared skirt, and the Lida Baday Silk Blend Trenchcoat (second from the left, US$1,895, pre-order at Saks) for its three-quarter length sleeves.
