Prom style summer dress from Miss Selfridge

480021001_normal.jpg Fifties prom style is cropping up everywhere as a new hot summer trend and this dress from Miss Selfridge is a great choice to go from day into evening in a blink. The full skirt gives it that '50s edge (think Grease if you're a vintage virgin) and the pretty ribbon and embroidery make it feminine.

I love this dress because it's not too cutesy, and since we all know yellow is a must-have this summer, the colour scheme is bang up-to-date. Team with some wedges or peep toes and matching clutch (check out Shoewawa and The Bag Lady for some great ideas) to transform into evening wear. Vintage style at high street prices? That's a must. £150 from Miss Selfridge.

Hi. I seen this dress in the July issue of More magazine and fell in love with it straight away.

I have rang Miss Selfridge in London (Oxford Circuis) who tell me that there was only 1 dress made, I am hoping that they got this wrong and that there is more out there.

I would really like this dress for a wedding in August - pls could you tell me if I can purchase this and where from.

    Thank you

  • My heart has skipped a beat. Although I suspect that 24 is a little old for a prom dress...I still love it.
