London College of Fashion students win chance to design for ASOS

New London College of Fashion graduates Eyizera Phoenix and James Hawkes are names to remember as ASOS selects them as the latest addition to their design team.
To celebrate the centenary at LCF, online retailer ASOS provided twelve graduating students with a brief to design a commercially viable outfit based on a 21st century icon, with the winning pieces going into production to be stocked on the website.
Phoenix created a Marc Bolan inspired puff sleeved silk jumpsuit in the womenswear category, and for menswear Hawkes designed an urban hoody based on his childhood heroes - lifeboat men.
The two graduates were thrilled that their hard work paid off, Phoenix joked, ""After we graduated, all our friends ran off on holiday, while we were still stuck at our sewing machines. But it was worth it."
