I don't believe I can think of anything quite so brilliant than combining the creative genius of John Galliano with swimwear. And yet, this is what looks set to happen with the announcement that he will launch his first ever women's beachwear line this summer! Produced under the same manufacturer that Roberto Cavalli and Chloe use for their beachwear ranges, Galliano's collection will feature a full line of swimwear and accessories.
You can expect to see one-pieces, separates and bikinis in molded-cup, triangle and bandeau styles as well as beach bags. Eight different themes have been designed including a corsetry-inspired look, gypsy patchwork look, gazette print and jailhouse theme complete with metal key charms. Pieces will also be hand-embroidered with the slogan "John's Beach". Love it! . [source]
The collection will be shown at the Espace Pierre Cardin on July 1 to 3. Prices range from US$90 to US$100 at wholesale.
